What is it prescribed for?
- Diabetes Type 2This medicine reduces blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
- Weight lossThis medicine is used in combination with a calorie-reduced diet and increased physical activity for weight management in obese patients who have at least 1 weight-related condition, i.e., hypertension, type 2 diabetes, or dyslipidemia.

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to Victoza Injection 6 mg/mL Pre filled Penx3 mL .

Medullary thyroid carcinoma
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma since the safety and efficacy of this medicine have not been established for such patients.

Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known history of multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2 since the safety and efficacy of this medicine have not been established for such patients.

Gastrointestinal blockage
This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients suffering from gastrointestinal blockage due to the increased risk of severe side effects.

Pancreatitis
This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with a known history of pancreatitis due to the increased risk of recurrent pancreatitis.

Thyroid Carcinoma
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known history of Thyroid Carcinoma since the safety and efficacy of this medicine have not been established for such patients.

Missed Dose
If a dose of This medicine is missed, administer it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with the regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.

General Instructions
Administer This medicine injection with or without food. Do not administer in larger or smaller amounts than advised/prescribed. Consult the doctor if you experience any undesirable side effects. Ensure that the treatment course is completed. Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor.

How to use Victoza Injection 6 mg/mL Pre filled Penx3 mL
Liraglutide can be administered once daily at any time of day, independently of meals and can be injected SC in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Rotate sites to minimize inj site reactions.
Stability: Prior to initial use; store under refrigeration at 2°C-8°C, after initial use store in refrigerator or at room temperature of 15°C-30°C. Do not freeze. Protect from heat and light. Pen should be discarded 30 days after initial use.
what are the adverse effects of Victoza Injection 6 mg/mL Pre filled Penx3 mL?
GI upset, headache, dizziness, tachycardia, hypoglycaemia, bronchitis, nasopharyngitis, gastroenteritis, toothache, anorexia, fatigue, rash, pyrexia, inj site reactions. Reports of pancreatitis, discontinue if suspected. Increased lipase and amylase.
What happens if I miss a dose of Victoza Injection 6 mg/mL Pre filled Penx3 mL?
Adults: Initially 600 mcg once daily by SC inj. Allowing minimum 1 wk intervals, increase to 1.2 mg once daily and then if necessary to max 1.2 mg once daily.
Combination therapy: Consider lower dose of sulphyonylurea.
Children: Not recommended.
